Sundarapandian has successfully completed a 50 day run at the box-office.The success behind the film is the clean family entertainment factor and the movie was celebrated by family audience. The movie was directed by Prabhakaran, a former associate of Sasikumar.

Sasikumar and Lakshmi Menon played the lead roles in the film. Soori and Vijay Sethupathu played the supporting characters. Music was scored by N.R.Raghunanthan and ‘Rekkai Mulaiththen’ track became a huge hit. It is worth mentioning that Lakshmi Menon will be seen in Prabu Solomon’s Kumki and Sasikumar is currently acting in ‘Kutti Puli’.
