While she is yet to be done with rehab treatment for her "emotional and physical issues", Demi Lovato has been linked to Marvel's biggest project to date, "The Avengers". According to Radar Online, the Mitchie Torres in the "Camp Rock" series is up for a role in the movie that brings together the superhero team of Marvel Comics characters for the first time ever.

There is no word on what character the 18-year-old songstress might be considered for. Should the casting rumor is true, there is a chance for her to join the likes of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson when the production is kicked off in April 2011.

Along with the casting speculation, Radar Online also brought up a report that Demi is leaving rehab for Christmas. A source close to the situation claimed that the former girlfriend of Joe Jonas has got permission to spend the holiday "with her family outside of the facility". The insider stressed, however, "She will return to the treatment center that night."

Recently, the Disney darling has reached a financial settlement with Alex Welch, the female dancer she punched during the South American leg of the Jonas Brothers' world tour. Shortly after her attorney confirmed the matter, the dancer told People magazine, "I'm happy. We came to an agreement and I'm ready to move on. I'm ready to start working again."
